Millie Atlas writes her own songs and plays other people's, and she's just as comfortable either way. The originals sit somewhere between big pop hooks and folk storytelling, with the sort of lyrics that make people feel caught out. Live, the covers do the heavy lifting: As It Was, Put Your Records On, Unwritten, Waterloo, Love Story, You've Got the Love. She works solo or as a duo vocalist, with piano or guitar, and there's an acoustic and DJ option too. She can run off a battery-powered amp if power is short, brings her own PA, and needs about half an hour to set up. Setlists get built around the venue. Based in Brisbane.
