About this act
MONROE are a five piece glam rock band from Melbourne with big riffs, bigger hooks and no interest whatsoever in restraint. Queen and Van Halen are the reference points, and the arena sized choruses come with glitter drenched makeup, bedazzled jackets and hair reaching for the ceiling. The live show is the heart of it, and whether the room is a festival stage or a dive bar they play it like a stadium. Their debut single Take Me For a Ride went to number one on the AMRAP community radio charts for two straight weeks, followed by Bad Bitch (You Can't Kill Me), and they have played St Kilda Festival, Mordi Fest and the Airlie Beach Festival of Music.
