Brothers Darcy and Spencer Ward write, perform and produce everything themselves from a home studio in Melbourne. On record Mother Culture sounds like a full band: loud, psychedelic, somewhere between indie rock and pop. Live in a smaller room they strip it right back to acoustic guitar, piano and vocals, which lets them cover songs across a lot of genres and eras and rework their own material, Lust for Love and Dive among them, into something quieter.
