Three quite distinct modes from a Brisbane pair. Mozaic play jazz and blues standards, and they've got a knack for swinging material that wasn't written to swing, including pop songs by Bacharach, the Beatles, the Bee Gees, James Taylor, Carole King, John Mayer, Carly Simon and Etta James. Their chill-grooves set leans on loops and sequences for a cooler, more modern backdrop. And the dance set brings R&B and floor fillers from across the decades, with percussion and guitar carrying it. Professional backing tracks fill out the sound to something closer to a full band. They dress to the occasion, from a Sunday session to black tie.
