About this act
Mumbo Jumbo began playing in Melbourne in 1991, with members from different backgrounds and a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments behind an authentic Latin sound. They have appeared at the International Music Festival, the Comedy Festival and Moomba, and worked rooms as varied as the Sheraton Towers, the Hyatt on Collins, the Hilton, Cuckoo restaurant and Crown Casino, as well as plenty of weddings and house parties. The repertoire is broad enough to hold a mixed crowd of different ages and nationalities. The rhythms are relentless, and so is the band.
