Chris and Courtney Murphy first reached a national audience through separate appearances on Australian Idol. Their work together goes much further back. The brothers formed the WA band Murphy's Lore in 1993 and have since toured Singapore, Australia's east coast and regional Western Australia. Between them, they've appeared on programs including Rove Live and Spicks & Specks, taken principal roles in We Will Rock You, and performed alongside artists such as John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Daryl Braithwaite and James Reyne. Their recorded catalogue spans releases with Murphy's Lore, solo albums and work as The Murphy Brothers. As a duo, they bring years of shared playing, close musical understanding and a broad Australian performance history to the stage.
