Nick spent more than five years playing the better venues around Darwin as a solo acoustic singer before moving to Perth, where his father Michael Blackwell has long been a working solo musician himself. So it runs in the family. The styles move around and the energy moves with them, which is what a function actually needs: quiet when the room is eating, lifting when it isn't.
