Jazz and classical training underneath a pop songwriter's instincts is an unusual combination, and it's what gives Nick Di Gregorio his sound. People have described it as Death Cab For Cutie meeting Steely Dan, which is a fair reach for something that could easily have been neither. He sings, plays guitar and produces, and the comparisons that follow him around take in John Mayer, Damien Rice, Jason Mraz, Tommy Emmanuel and John Martyn.
