Nick Marvin

Nick Marvin’s keynotes explore how organisational culture contributes to performance. As Managing Director of the Perth Wildcats from 2009, he took over a basketball club with financial troubles and a long premiership drought and built it, on a values-driven leadership model, into an organisation that reached six grand finals and won four NBL championships. He had little prior experience in professional sport when he started; the results came from clear behavioural standards, investment in players' development and one of the country's largest community engagement programs run by a sporting club. Beyond basketball, Nick has advised public, private and not-for-profit organisations on leadership and organisational change, and his sessions cover putting people first, building purpose-led cultures and achieving performance without compromising integrity.
