Five musicians, a Melbourne function room, and a song list picked so nobody stands around waiting for something they recognise. The Night Owls run two lead voices, with Tanya on a wide spread of classic rock and guitarist Rowdy taking his share of the rock standards, which keeps the vocal texture shifting through the night. Their whole approach is built around a crowd of mixed ages, so the choices skew towards the songs that everyone already knows the words to.
