Old Souls

Michael on piano, Dave on drums, and a repertoire that lives in old jazz and blues. Old Souls play the standards the way they were meant to sit in a room, with the piano carrying the melody and the drums keeping it moving rather than pushing it. It's music with a bit of smoke in it. They work out of Bundaberg and cover 40s and 50s material through to later decades, taking in funk and instrumental pieces along the way. A duo like this earns its keep at a wedding drinks hour, a gallery opening, a restaurant floor or a corporate dinner where you want atmosphere without volume.
