About this act
Six pieces, two lead singers, and costume changes that take the room from one decade to the next. Our Generation are a Perth show band with more than 300 songs on hand, and the sets are usually built as an arc: the swinging 60s, then the 70s, the 80s, and on into 90s and current chart hits. It works on a room that runs from 8 to 80. The same players expand to a nine piece called Swing Generation, adding a three piece brass section in white suits or tuxedos for Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr and Sinatra material, and there's an all Australian set called Oz Generation. They've played the Hopman Cup Ball, well over a hundred nights at Crown, Leeuwin Estate concerts supporting John Farnham, K.D. Lang, Roberta Flack and Boz Scaggs, the Perth Cup at Ascot, Perth Zoo concerts, and corporate work for Woodside, Wesfarmers and Shell.
