Out Of The Shadows carry well over 100 songs, though a typical night only has room for 40 or 50 of them. The Shadows instrumentals are a highlight, Apache and Wonderful Land among them. Around those sit Elvis, a Buddy Holly medley, the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry and Little Richard, then the sixties groups: Beatles, Searchers, Rolling Stones, the Byrds and Turtles doing Dylan, Van Morrison, The Doors. Add surf and Beach Boys numbers, a few Latin tunes, doo wop with those big bass harmonies, ballads for the quiet start or the wind-down, and the girl-group classics. Younger guests usually know most of it through their parents. Ten years of Sydney venues, balls, weddings and milestone birthdays behind them.
