Painter Gals is a roving performer from South Brisbane, Queensland.
Brushes, buckets and a pair of overalls are the props for this act, which turns paint into a physical comedy routine. Body percussion, tai chi, pass juggling and character dance are all performed brush in hand, so the choreography and the mess happen at the same time. A colour chart brings the crowd into the routine directly, providing a point of interaction with guests. The act draws on music, circus, theatre and clown skills rather than sitting inside just one of them, which is what gives the routine its range.
