Paul Buchanan's Blues Xpress

Paul Buchanan put this band together in 2024 to work the harder edged side of the blues, and the set mixes rock blues favourites with lesser known tracks they have dug up. They have played Echuca Winter Blues, Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Festival and Blues Inn Bruthen. Buchanan has serious standing in Australian blues: Band Of The Year from the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society in 2016 and 2019 with Amnesia Blues Band, a Music Victoria shortlisting for Best Blues Act in 2021 and a Best Blues Work nomination in 2023 with his Voodoo Preachers, plus two nominations for Blues Music Victoria's People's Choice Blues Legend Award. The line up is Paul Buchanan on vocals, Morris Lord and Allan Ellesmere on guitars, Steve Callahan on bass and Stuart Anderson on drums.
