Peat Turner

Rock, folk and jazz don't usually share a stage this comfortably. Peat Turner is a singer and songwriter out of Albany in WA who pulls covers from the last fifty years and puts warm vocals and his own phrasing over the top of them, so a familiar song arrives slightly rearranged. His originals have soul in them and a bit of cheek. Just Peat and a guitar is enough to change the feel of a room, heartfelt and raw one moment, funny the next, with the guitar moving around the vocal to fill out the sound. He also works as a DJ, which makes him a practical single booking for a wedding that needs live music early and dancing later.
