Peter Baines

Peter Baines speaks about leadership in circumstances where decisions cannot wait. His background in forensic policing included work on responses to the Bali bombings, the Waterfall rail disaster and the tsunami in Thailand. As a NSW Police detective inspector, he led crisis-response teams in Australia and overseas. His presentations draw on those experiences to examine communication, teamwork and leading with compassion under pressure. He connects the demands of disaster response with the challenges of managing change in an organisation.
