Phantom Limbz
About this act
Singer-songwriter Liz Newman put Phantom Limbz together in 2021, and the debut album Quotes of Note followed in 2023. Live, the sound is built on slide guitar and electric guitar with looped drums and bass underneath, which gives a small group a much bigger footprint. The writing moves between blues, indie rock, country blues and straight rock. Alongside the originals they take on The Cruel Sea, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, so a set can lean either way depending on the room.
