PRYDE build each song in front of you. Live looping is the craft here, layering drums, bass, organs, horn and string parts until two musicians fill a venue like a full band. The repertoire is deliberately wide. Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin sit alongside Bon Jovi, Survivor and Gnarls Barkley, then run forward into Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga. Early hits like Hit the Road Jack and rock staples like Summer of '69 both turn up. Because the arrangements are their own, nothing sounds like the record, which is rather the point.
