Jessica Mudditt founded the hybrid publisher Hembury Books and has written two memoirs. Before that she spent 15 years as a journalist for the BBC, CNN and Forbes Australia, including seven years reporting from Myanmar and Bangladesh. She now coaches writers, business people and ordinary Australians who want to get their own story down. Her talks cover the craft of writing, finding your voice, how self-publishing works, how Australia's publishing landscape is shifting, and why a rejection from traditional publishers turned out to be the best thing that happened to her. She's honest about doubt and imposter syndrome, which is the part most writing talks skip. She hosts the Hembury Books Podcast and has spoken at Byron Writers Festival.
