Random Sass

Sara Shaw and Clare play as Random Sass out of Picnic Bay, and the fun of watching them is not knowing where the next song is going. Jazz, blues, soul, and then something contemporary out of nowhere. Sara has spent more than 25 years in music, singing a cappella, gospel and rock before settling into jazz, blues and soul, and has performed around Australia and in the USA at festivals including WOMAD, Melbourne Jazz Festival, Melbourne International Festival, Sydney A Cappella Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Bay Dayz and Palmer Street Jazz Festival. One reviewer described them as excellent musicians whose brilliance bounces off one another. Their set moves through thirties to fifties jazz and blues into RnB and soul. They bring their own PA for one off gigs.
