About this act
Red Tie is a South East Queensland corporate band that scales to the room. Two pieces unplugged for a quiet cocktail hour, or the full eight piece with horns and percussion when the brief is a big night. Up to five different lead singers rotate through, so the set can cover soul, pop and current top 40 without one voice carrying everything. The classic Great Gatsby look is one of their setups, horn section and all, and the band shift into party mode once the formalities are over. Smaller bookings under 100 guests come with their own PA, plus break music chosen to match the night. Members turn up dressed for the occasion. They've played the Gala Beef Ball in Rockhampton and events for Mackay Festivals.
