Redtie

A two-piece jazz duo, a three-piece soul band, a four-piece party band, a six-piece and a full eight-piece big band line-up all sit under the one name. Redtie scales from an intimate corporate function to a large one with different musical configurations, and can move from smooth background music early on to chart hits designed to fill a dance floor later. The bigger configurations bring a horn section and percussion behind a female lead vocal, and up to five different lead singers are available across bookings, giving a spread that runs from soul and pop through to current top 40. The band builds its set around whichever line-up and mood a booking calls for, rather than a fixed formula.
