Fire, first, but the props go well past that. Rhubi Rae Winter is a Melbourne fire dancer and flow artist who builds performances around movement and story, working with silk fans and swords as readily as flame. The east coast has seen the results at festivals, community gatherings, corporate events and private celebrations. Rhubi also performs with manages Elemental Entertainment, which means the shows are put together rather than improvised on the night. Roving sets arrive 45 minutes early to walk the space; fire sets need an hour. Most shows need three metres square and two metres of overhead clearance, with larger fire shows needing closer to five by six. Working with Children Check held. A trained safety spotter is required for the fire work.
