Swing, played properly. Rhythm Capital work through the golden age material and out the other side: Louis Armstrong, Chick Webb, Artie Shaw, Count Basie. The setlist runs deep, with A Foggy Day, All of Me, Bye Bye Blackbird, Honeysuckle Rose, Fever, C Jam Blues and Down by the Riverside among the hundreds on hand. Swing dancers get what they need from it. So do parties where nobody knows the steps and the toes start tapping anyway. The band turns up dressed for the occasion and set up before your guests arrive. Five pieces for a party, or stripped back to four, three or two when you want it in the background. They need power and about five metres square. Their own sound rig covers a room of around 100.
