Rock n Roll Boys
About this act
The Rock'n'Roll Boys are a South East Queensland quartet and the name is accurate. Rapid fire rock and roll, mostly 50s and 60s: Elvis, The Beatles, Bill Haley, The Easybeats, Ol' 55, with a few 70s numbers from Bruce Springsteen, Robert Palmer, Eric Clapton and Santana. Bob Cole, Chas Whitling, Lyall Barron and John Mitchell handle all the live vocals, keyboards and guitars, backed by live recorded bass and drums. Rock and roll dancers travel from Brisbane to Mackay for the shows, and the band plays most of the major retro festivals in the region, with regular slots at Caloundra's Beachfest, Waterhole Rocks and the Gympie Music Muster.
