Balance is the whole act: Doug works from a metre-high table onto a board balanced across a rolling metal cylinder, then builds the difficulty through walking, kneeling, skipping rope and a 180-degree jump on the wobbling platform. Extra boards get tossed into a stack underfoot mid-routine, and further cylinders are added below for the finale, ending in a rotation across the full stack. The routine runs six to seven minutes and needs a clear, hard-level floor space of at least four metres by four metres, with a minimum venue height of four metres for the complete act. Doug also performs other character sets, particularly around Christmas, and can adapt the routine to a theme on request.
