Russell Morris built a trilogy of blues and roots albums around Australian stories, starting with Sharkmouth in 2012, which topped the ARIA blues chart, went platinum and won an ARIA award. Van Diemen's Land followed, moving from individual characters to larger events such as the Eureka Stockade, and reached number four on the overall ARIA chart, the highest position of Morris's career to that point. An ARIA Hall of Fame induction sits alongside that run, and his recordings include the hit 'The Real Thing'.
