Staff work is the specialty here, single and double, alongside palm candles, silk fans and fire. Safire Dragon is a performer, dancer and teacher based in Byron Bay. The work has taken in major festival stages around Australia, women's retreats, community events, cabaret shows, and support slots for musicians including Xavier Rudd. Feature fire shows are the centrepiece, though the range also runs to ritual performance and ceremony, podium sets and storytelling pieces. There's a deliberate weight to it. This isn't twirling as background colour, it's built as a performance people stop and watch.
