Sahara Dance Company is the performing troupe attached to Queensland Bellydance Academy, working Brisbane weddings, corporate nights and cultural festivals with Middle Eastern and folkloric dance. Book a soloist, or scale it up to ten dancers on the floor. The repertoire draws on Egyptian, Persian and Mediterranean traditions and stretches to Bollywood, Latin fusion and a themed piece built around 1001 Arabian Nights. Formats vary too: a set-piece floor show, roving through a room while guests eat, or a workshop where the guests do the dancing.
