Salmonhead

There is a metre-long salmon involved, worn on the head, and there are drums fitted into the shoes. Salmonhead plays family music that's high energy and heavily improvised, and the whole thing is built for joining in rather than sitting still. Splendour in the Grass, St Kilda Festival, HOTA on the Gold Coast and the Brisbane Writers Festival have all had him. The songs are quirky and funny enough that parents get as much out of them as the kids do, which is rarer than it sounds. Based at Ocean Shores in northern NSW.
