Sammy Hutchin came up through the Sydney gig circuit, playing pubs, clubs and street corners before moving to the Central Coast for the surf and the music community. He's clocked over 1,500 shows as a solo artist. Three of his tracks hit number one on the Triple J Unearthed roots chart, and he was a finalist in the Bluesfest busking competition in 2013. The sound is Delta blues, played straight or on slide, with songwriting that doesn't dress things up. Expect Boom Boom, Mannish Boy, Voodoo Chile, Seven Nation Army and Sweet Home Chicago, plus a good run of his own material. It's blues built for dancing rather than sitting still.
