Sam Green and the Time Machine ( Common Ground )

Sam Green has been writing and performing for more than 45 years. Indie Pulse Music called him "an enormously productive artist", noting he's released multiple full-length albums in a single year more than once without the substance dropping off. His own songs sit at the centre of a set that runs an hour to ninety minutes, with For the Ocean, I Think it's About Time, Life is so Fine and Walking Down Memory Lane among them. Between numbers he talks about how the songs came together, which changes the shape of the night. The themes are hopeful, often Australian, sometimes drawing on Jewish and folk traditions. He performs solo or as a duo, and brings a PA if the venue hasn't got one.
