About this act
Sam King started on Adelaide's streets and won the Australian Street Entertainment Championships in 2014. Since then he's taken "Best Magic" at Adelaide Fringe in 2022 and again in 2024, plus the "One to Watch" award in 2022. The comedy is not a side note either. He made the finals of the UK competition So You Think You're Funny. These days he runs Adelaide Magic Theatre, where the shows are deliberately small and close up. He works roving through a crowd, on a stage, or both across one night, and the material shifts depending on who's in the room. Holds a current Working with Children Check. Setup needs are light, so most venues suit.
