Sam O'Connell is an Australian-Irish folk musician from the Mornington Peninsula who had a guitar put in his hands as a child and never really put it down. The playing is intricate and the singing is raw, and together they make for a show that holds an audience without needing volume. He's recently come off performances at both the Melbourne Celtic Festival and the National Celtic Folk Festival. Relentless about getting heard, with original songs good enough to justify it.
