Samantha DANN

Samantha Dann grew up in Alice Springs, and country music was simply part of the household. Her first single, Country Kinda Girl, led to a place in the finals of the Tamworth Star Maker quest. She later worked in Nashville, co-writing with the songwriters behind Friends In Low Places and performing at the honky-tonks on Music Row, and recorded a version of Harper Valley PTA that Jeannie C. Riley herself asked for a copy of. Her current recordings are made in Australia with producer Louie Shelton. Alongside her own crossover country-pop material, she fronts a Shania Twain show and a Linda Ronstadt show with a backing band on the Queensland and New South Wales club circuit.
