Sarah Ramsey Trio

Sarah Ramsey brings a warm vocal tone and her own arrangements to jazz standards, joined by saxophonist Ben Collins and guitarist Mace Francis. Her influences include Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, Billie Holiday and Gian Slater, giving the trio a grounding in vocal jazz without simply repeating familiar versions. Ben and Mace are both award winning composers and musicians whose experience ranges from small cocktail groups to big band settings. Together, the ensemble has appeared at Perth venues including the Ellington Jazz Club and Quarry Amphitheatre, as well as on national and international stages. The spare voice, saxophone and guitar format leaves room for each musician to shape the songs.
