The Seb Folvig Trio draw together some of Hobart's best young players: Aleks Folvig on guitar, Chris McGuinness Terry on drums, and Seb Folvig on bass. The music sits somewhere between jazz, groove and fusion, and it's played with enough technical and improvisational ability that the trio can steer a piece wherever it wants to go mid-performance. That freedom is the appeal. Eclectic, energised and genuinely emotional, and a good fit for rooms where people came to listen.
