Shirazz

Six pieces, hot solos, tight arrangements, and a repertoire drawn almost entirely from the 1920s and 30s. Shirazz play trad jazz and dixieland the old way, with driving rhythms and the loose swing of a New Orleans dance hall. Fast tunes sit next to swinging standards and slower Louisiana street beats, and the band works in the odd original and a re-imagined pop tune along the way. It's a set built to be danced to rather than politely watched. Shirazz take bookings for corporate events, weddings, birthday parties, private functions, venues and special occasions.
