Silky Sounds builds sets around deep minimal house aimed at an eclectic underground floor, then mixes in UK garage for the harder, head-bopping stretches. Those two styles share a certain restraint, a willingness to leave gaps rather than fill every bar, and putting them together gives a night both patience and punch. Underground rather than commercial, and unapologetic about it. Best suited to a room that came out specifically to dance.
