Simone Bertanza

Simone Bertanza is a songwriter from Brescia in Italy, playing a folk-blues that pulls from both American and Australian traditions. Before he came out here he'd spent years on the Italian circuit and collaborated with Ryan Adams, Elliott Murphy, and Springsteen-connected musicians including Joe D'Urso and James Maddock. Since arriving he's been backpacking and playing his way around the country, and has shared stages with Kim Churchill, Steph Strings, and JC and The Tree. His debut EP Jammin On The River is out and he's recording again. Fitzroy based for now, though not for long by the look of it.
