Skedaddle

Roving, costumed and a bit daft, in the best way. Skedaddle wander through crowds playing folk tunes, jazz, old dances and ballads, pop songs and rock and roll, dressed as chefs one week and jockeys the next. Melbourne shopping strips know them well: Puckle Street in Moonee Ponds, High Street in Malvern, Multicultural Place in Springvale, Pinewood, Rosanna and Werribee Plaza have all had them, as have the Pakenham Races and plenty of private functions. Good for a street festival or a centre promotion where the music has to come to people rather than wait for them to sit down. Based in Preston.
