Slippery Gypsy came together in Townsville around Luke West on vocals and guitar and Paul White on guitar, and they play alt pop rock with the hooks kept front and centre. The songwriting doesn't get sanded down, and the live show is where the band puts its weight. There's rock grit under the pop side of it, which keeps the set from ever feeling too polished. North Queensland based, and built for a room that wants to hear the volume.
