smallways. are a Sydney duo playing punk drum and bass, which is not a combination you hear often. Formed in 2023, they twist punk, hip hop and noise into something tense and hook heavy, with dual vocals swinging between melodic and thoroughly distorted. Viagra Boys, The Pixies, Talking Heads, the B52s, The Garden, Amyl and The Sniffers and the Beastie Boys are all somewhere in the mix. Familiar in places, and entirely their own in the rest.
