Toto, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins. These are the songs plenty of bands quietly avoid because the parts are hard, and they're exactly what Sonic FX build their sets around. Five players out of Ballina, with a female lead singer, guitar, bass, keys and drums, plus three part harmonies holding the top end together. The rest of the list runs through Michael Jackson, The Doobie Brothers, the Eagles including the Joe Walsh material, Tedeschi Trucks and a good stack of Aussie rock. Some of it you'll know from the first bar. Some of it you've wanted to hear live for years and never have. They bring their own sound and lighting, and they'll want about two hours in the room before doors.
