Judith Fordham started in science and ended up a barrister, studying law while raising four young children on her own. The law firm she founded won a Telstra Business Award. She held an Associate Professor post at UWA's forensic science centre, where the teaching went both ways: law to the scientists, forensics to the police and the lawyers. The WA Attorney General asked her to run a study into what jury service is actually like from the inside. She's an Australia Day Ambassador and a life member of angelhands, which supports secondary victims of homicide. There's a book of hers full of the stranger crime stories, and she talks CSI on cruise ships and dives whenever the diary allows. Keynotes, after dinner talks, school audiences.
