About this act
STARQ front two vocalists rather than one. Naomi and Jake share the lead and the keyboards, Matt plays lead guitar and sings backing, Rod is on bass and backing vocals, and Leah plays drums. Between them they've been performing professionally for over a decade, including support slots for Jimmy Barnes and Shannon Noll and stretches of cruise ship work. The set moves from rock and pop through disco and dance, mostly top 40 and the classics people expect, with the occasional original dropped in where it fits. Theme shows are their other speciality: costumes, stage set-up, smoke machines, lasers, and if you bring your own theme idea they'll build it out with props, posters, invitations and a face painter. They work Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
