Lucia Zavaglia plays as St.Croix, and nearly two decades in Sydney's dance scene have gone into the crate she draws from. The sound is soulful, disco-tinged house: funky rhythms, big vocal hooks and records chosen to lift a room rather than test it. She produces as well as plays. Feel-good is the honest description, and there's real taste behind the selection rather than a run of obvious anthems.
