Steve Bennett Music

The guitar came early for Steve Bennett, learned in a lounge room full of jam sessions with his dad showing him the basics. From there it was other people's songs, then his own, and by 1992 he had a family band going under the name Ghost Road. That band still plays. So does the duo he runs with his brother Beau as The Bennett Bros, and he has put in session work as a rhythm guitarist for touring acts. The repertoire is broad and blues-leaning. He tells a story through a song, keeps the groove tight, and knows when to let a solo stretch. Based on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, available solo, in a duo or as a trio.
