No magician has won the WA Society of Magicians annual competition more often than Steve Silk, and the reason is less about the tricks than the way he handles a group of people. Gasps, then laughs, then a room that has forgotten it was standing around making small talk. He fits his style to the event rather than running the same show everywhere. Perth parties, weddings, corporate cocktail hours and sit-down dinners are all fair game, roving or close up.
